"WHERE IS JUSTICE?"
BY FAIZA NASEEM
Aina
was the only daughter of her parent. She was 15 years old. Her father was a
shopkeeper with a monthly income which was quite less and they were living
from hand to mouth. Besides all the expenses they were more focused on the
better education of Aina. They wanted to give their daughter the best of what
they could do for her. Aina was an intelligent and disciplined girl in her
class.
One day her father got late to pick her from school because his bike got punctured.
Aina was the only one left in the school. She was fearful but after some time the guard told him that his father is outside the gate waiting for her and she went
out of the school gate but suddenly she felt a small needle on her neck and she
went unconscious. She was unable to move. When she came into her consciousness
there was darkness everywhere. She was so scared and started crying loudly for
help. Nobody was there to listen to her.
When
her father reached the school, he was informed that Aina had already gone. His
father got worried because Aina had never gone with anyone or alone. He called
Aina’s mother and asked about Aina but she was not home. This was an alarming
situation for Aina’s parents. Her mother was unable to control her emotion and
started crying like a child.
Aina’s
father rushed toward the police station but not only police misbehave with her
father but also blamed Aina for being characterless or she must have run away
with someone, although she was only 15 years old. Aina’s parents were asking
for help from everyone but they were left with disappointment. After two days
her father received a phone call and he was informed about a dead body of a
young girl but the police were not sure about it. Her father after listening to this
was not able to stand on his feet. When the dead body was recognized, it was of
Aina.
Firstly, she was kidnapped, and then she was
raped several times and after that, she was thrown in an empty building.
Police were finding the culprits but the damage they have done cannot be repaired.
Her parent‘s only happiness in life was Aina.
Without
her they lose the meaning of their lives too and end up hanging themselves
with a question left that “how long the parents have to bear the loss of their
daughters, why the controlled system of our government is unable to do anything
for us, for our children safety”. Not only girls are being raped but also
children. Still in our society kidnapping and rape is common. Our government
should take action against this.
