SULTAN ALLAUDIN KHILJI

"SULTAN ALLAUDIN KHILJI"
BY MUHAMMAD ZOHAID

Sultan Allauddin Khilji You have read and heard a lot about the Ottoman and other Muslim sultans. Today I would like to describe to you a person who restrained the Mongols and kept the subcontinent / united India safe from the Mongols for many years. This person is the second ruler of the Khilji Empire of India, Sultan Allauddin Khilji Shah I. You were born in 1266 and were brave intelligent commanders.

At that time, power was in the hands of his uncle Jalaluddin Khilji. In his youth, Allauddin saw the essence of war and gained the attention of emperors and sultans. But due to Sultan Jalaluddin Khilji's undue kindness and excessive compassion, the subjects became rebellious and revolts broke out on all sides. Restored royal dignity. Allauddin Khilji was the first ruler in India who had a piece of information about India.

Taxes were collected from the people diligently and a reasonable rate of everything was provided and no one dared to go above and below the rate fixed by the Sultan. The Sultan considered it necessary to run the empire with some reliable and honest companions. He thinks that Akram (SAW) also had 4 close friends (Righteous Caliphs). Inspired by this, he also chose 4 capable and reliable companions, including the following: 1) Zafar Khan 2) Qutbuddin Mubarak Shah 3) Nusrat Khan 4) Malik Kafur Occupying India during the reign of the Sultan was the dream of the Mongols.

The Sultan first saved India and then went on to invade the Mongols himself and the Mongols who destroyed every empire from China to Anatolia was forced to make peace with Sultan Allauddin Khilji. When the Mongol ambassador arrived, the Sultan impressed him with his military might and courtly splendor so much that he went back and told him never to make the mistake of attacking India. Some time ago, a film "Padmavati" was released in India in which Sultan was portrayed as a cruel and savage type of man and Allauddin was portrayed as a gay man who had sex with his slave Malik Kafur.

This is far from the truth. Malik Kafur was a strong Khilji general who defeated the Mongols in 1306, conquered the kingdom of Dogri in 1308, captured Vernagal (from where he found the world-famous diamond Koh-i-Noor) in 1310, and the kingdom of Dwars Mandra and Pandya in 1311. It was incorporated into the Khilji Empire. The film further shows that the Sultan attacked "Chittor" to get "Rani Padmini". It also has nothing to do with history. The Sultan, like the rest of the region, conquered Chittor in 1306, and a legendary character of "Rani Padmani" was introduced by Malik Muhammad Jayasi in a poem in 1540, 200 years after the Sultan's death. If such a thing had happened in history, Zia-ud-Din Burney, who was a fierce critic of the Khilji Empire, would have written.

Amir Khosrow further writes that the people of India did not tire of praising Sultan Allauddin Khilji even after the fall of the Khilji Empire. His role was to tarnish the image of the sultan who defeated every Hindu king of India and became the sole ruler who ruled both northern and southern India at the same time which no one was fortunate enough to have. By playing such a role, a nation wants to vent its anger on Muslims who have ruled for a thousand years. The Sultan is considered one of the invincible rulers of the world. He planted the flag of victory wherever he went. Undoubtedly, he was one of the best rulers of that time.
